The Appeal of Country Living

Thanks to Wm Rowe

A friend and co-worker of mine drives forty-five minutes into work each day, while my commute is a mere seven minutes, when the traffic light God is shining down on me. I love being in the city, although my house is quite private and countryesque. She and her husband raise horses and have a huge garden and chickens that provide them with fresh eggs. They love living off the land. I was out there a couple of weeks ago and we started talking about television and internet and I asked if she was concerned when they bought their farm that they might not have connections out there. She said she got on her computer at work and went tosatelliteinternetbroadband.comand found there was no problem in having it installed. She and I discuss a lot of things when we are sitting outside at her house, enjoying cocktails and watching the horses frolic and run. While I am a city girl, I have begun to appreciate country living and the peace and calm that comes with it. Fortunately, I can enjoy that life anytime by visiting my friend and her husband.

Sugarland

Posted by Von Battle

I was over at my sister’s house the other day. We are pretty close and spend a lot of time together. Now if you know my sister very well, you know that she is the biggest fan ever of the group Sugarland. I was flipping the channels around on her Directv.com, and saw that there was going to be a concert by Sugarland on the Audience Network. She was not in the room at the time so I decided to surprise her when the concert came on a few days later. I convinced her that we needed to get together at her house with our husbands for a cookout, and that I was going to give her an early birthday present that night. Of course, she agreed to the cookout because she wanted her birthday present. I planned the dinner at the right time to coincide with the start of the concert. Just before we had dessert, I told everyone we would go in her den to eat our dessert and that is where I would give her the present. We all sat down and at the right time, I turned on the television. There was Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush as the concert began. I said “Happy Birthday!” I thought she would keel over and feint. She was so excited. And to think that present didn’t cost me a thing.

Fries

I feel lik mcDonalds right now - I just saw a commercial and now am just in the mood for french fries and some chicken sandwich - they are just soo good. I call my daughter my mcdonalds baby - because when I was pregnant that is what just loved and craved every single day it seems...love those fries!

Laughing

Crazy laughs...ever notice that some people just have the craziest laughs - there is the cackle that I just can't stand though - but I get a kick out of the hearty laughs especially when a a baby does it - little baby with a big hearty laugh like and old manslaught - it is just so funny I think -a big laugh coming from a little person.

Thinking

Nursing

how long is too long to nurse your baby brcause my baby is overa year now and i do it for me...it os the only thing that will keep he quiet at night - I can't stand the crying aby more. I love the fist year but i am not too fond f the one year old year - i remember not liking with my other daughter roo

Who Cares about a broken leg?

Written by my friend Dong Wood

I have a friend named Susan who is the nicest person that you’ll ever meet in your entire life. She is always doing nice things for everyone around her, and is so unselfish. She broke her leg two weeks ago when she was ice skating, and the neighbors and I have been trying to think of something wonderful we could get her. We brainstormed all of the things that she could do while lying down: read a book, watch TV, do a craft, knit, etc. We came to the conclusion that the absolute best thing that we could do for Susan would be to get her an endless supply of entertainment by a subscription to a satellite TV fromhttp://www.tvbydirect.com/. She has absolutely loved it, and I’m so glad we had that idea. She says that she is always so on the go that she has missed all of her favorite television shows and movies, and so she has sat on her couch while she has healed and caught up! Leave it to Susan to make being injured into a productive activity!

Making a big deal out of Halloween, all out of fun

Guest post written by Bill Earnhart

There's nothing little about Halloween in our household. I've been going all out and transforming our house into a foreboding creation on our block since we moved into it about 15 years ago and I'm pretty sure if I did anything less, I would get some concerned calls from my neighbors. Where I go all out for the decorating, my wife goes all out for her annual Halloween party. We have it every year the weekend before Halloween because Halloween's on a Monday this year, we're going to make sure that we throw our party on this Saturday night. Trick or treating is happening on actual Halloween, so we didn't have to worry about that as an interference.

I looked online to help find some special decorations for the inside of our house for the party. When I was doing that, I ran across some info on Internet Providers and showed them to my wife. Then we decided to change over our home internet service to one of those providers.

I also found a really great recipe for some DIY mounds bars that we're going to try and make for the party, if they last until the party.

Prepping my daughter for her kindergarten class

Guest post written by Gina Souther

I'm the type of person that always likes to be extra prepared. It's just how I am. I'm not really sure why, but it is. It's not like it's a bad thing, either. But I think that I kind of drive my husband a little crazy with it. He's very of the moment, which means that we are the opposites. But opposites attract.

So I've been coming up with ways to help out my daughter before she makes her big kindergarten debut next week! I was online a few nights ago looking for some tips that I could use for it and while i was doing that I ran across the siteclearWIRELESSINTERNET4g.com. I lookedt hrough ti a little bit and after that I decided to change over my home internet service to it.

I really think that this kindergarten prep is going to pay off in the end. She's already so excited about school that she can barely even get any sleep at night.

Grilled steak perfect for cold weather

Guest post written by Andrea Sparks

Around this time of the year I always get really excited for spring because stores start putting out all their spring clothes and it's so tempting! So I do a whole lot of things to try and warm me up and make me think that it's spring. I thought that one good way to warm up at least a little bit is to grill some steaks inside and make me think that it's warm enough to grill outside. Or at least I can pretend like it is. I love grilling outside.

I went online to order a griddle that I can put right on my stove to grill my steak with indoors and while I was doing that I ran across some information about www.satelliteinternetbroadband.com/. After I read through it a little bit, I decided to switch over my internet provider.

Well, my home grilled steak turned out pretty well on my griddle. I even put on a sundress and my grilling apron so it would feel a little more like spring. I guess this will be a nice outdoor grilling alternative until it warms up.

Bella Blu is a Fiesty Dog!

Written by my friend Dong Wood

I take my dog, Bella Blu, who is a Yorkie, out for walks time to time. It's not that she is overweight or unhealthy, but I think she should get outside the yard every once in a while. Bella Blu is great with people; she wants to be everyone's lap dog! She loves being petted, given treats, and overall treated as a spoiled queen. But, she has a dark side; she is a feisty dog who tries to take on big dogs!

For example, when we left home once spring morning, we had set our home security alarm 9www.securitychoice.com/home-security.html) and grabbed a leash, water bottle, and began our walk to a nearby friend's house. While walking there, Bella Blu passed ! by another dog who was behind a fence, and when we got close, she tried to yank herself away and barked crazily at the dog. I got her pulled away, but when a neighbor was out walking his dog, Bella Blu tried to take it on too, a massive Great Dane!

Needless to say, Bella Blu didn't harm anyone or anyone's dog. I imagine that she likes to think herself as a big, brave dog who wants to the alpha leader every chance she gets. I still enjoy our walks together, though I know try to keep her away from other dogs, I don't need stress on my walks after all!

Rereading my old favorites

Guest post written by Marcy Albright

I found one of my old journals from high school back when I was at my parents for the holidays. I thought that it was so funny, yet so painful to read at the time because even though I remembered how awkward high school was, I kind of forgot about that for a short while. But then reading that reminded me of it too. But while I was looking at that, I also saw a few of my books that I read for classes back then stuffed into a drawer with my journal and decided to read them again for fun.

I told my best friend from high school on Facebook with my clear internet about that I decided to reread some of my favorite books and it made me so nostalgic! It seems like it was such a long time ago but it really wasn't that long ago.

The first one that I read was Wuthering Heights. I'm most excited about 1984 because I just remembered that my life felt like it was different after that book. It was just too great. Hopefully it will be as great as I remembered.

Bathroom

So now it is getting a little late and the kids and everyone is asleep so it is the perfect time for me to just sit here and play around on the computer and do stuff but no I will finish this up and go and clean the bathroms- because someone has to do it and it just has to be done - there is nothing grosser than a dirty bathroom.

Muppets Christmas

I love listening to the muppets singing carols - it is just so cute and just a lot of fun - sitting here and listening to this sort of stuff. There are some songs that I just can't stand to listen to - like the beach boys singing carols - like little st. nick - I just can't stand that song and I just have to turn it off when I do.

Gold Coin

The US Gold Bureau has been around for decade helping people with their gold investments and now is the time that you start to invest in some gold for yourself. The prices are good still but as time goes by the prices will be going up because the stockpiles will be depleting. However if you invest now the profits that you will be gettwill also go up thus making it a great investment for you to look into. Perhaps a retirement fund or a college fund for your child. The gold coin is great. This could be exactly what you have been looking for for your educational needs.

Flash Cards

Did you know that in my town they did away with math fact flash cards - tI think that all children should have to learn their math facts and the times table and the easiest way to do that is by flash cards that is the most efficient way to insure that they know them and also by timed tests even though I hated timed tests - made me very nervous.

Great

I am so glad that I have a tivo because this thin is great. So I am watching the American idol because I have to talk about it at the water cooler with everyone else :) I think that the first day the American idol is one of the most talked about things at the office and the workplace the next day - especially this show.

Hip Recall Lawyer

When it comes to your health you of course want to make sure that you are gettign what you are paying for since everything costs an arm and a leg and in this case throw in that hip too. If you have just had that hip replacement and are in pain and having a lot of trouble with it it could just be defective which is why you are goign to need that DePuy Hip Recall lawyer. This way you can be represented by someone that is familiar with this case and you will not have to pay for an additionsurgery or terapy that you know this is going to endure!

Legos

Legos are just a timeless gift - every person should have a set of legos on hand - even for the adults it is an amusing game or toy - and kids just love it - and it is just great for imagination play - so much better than watching tv or playing video games and ou can build things with people or you cn just play buy yourself - it is a great toy!

Singing

My husbabndjust would do anything when we were dating adctually when I was dating someone else and he was trying to win me over. When we first got married I just was so upset with him because it semed as though because he got me he just stopped trying and that just really ticked me off and got me so upset and I just felt like such a fool actually at the time. Slowly over the last 6 years he has reverted back to being sweet and stuff
